Presented in association with Brasil Summerfest

For the past twelve years, Brasil Summerfest has brought the music and culture of Brasil to New York City with an array of audio, arts, and culinary events that highlight the beauty and diversity of South America’s biggest exporter of cultural excellence. Following a three-year hiatus, the festival finally returns to Lincoln Center and the big stage at Damrosch Park with a showcase concert featuring the pop star DUDA BEAT. Originally a specialist in Brasil’s indigenous style of MPB, this young singer-songwriter has begun to explore punk, funk and art-pop with the release of her independently produced second album, Te Amo Lá Fora. DUDA BEAT will be joined by Mulú, a pioneering artist in the renewal of Brasilian electronic music.
