Weddings are one of our great community rituals. They remind us of our commitments to each other and the undeniable power of love. After two years of having our collective rituals diminished by the pandemic, Lincoln Center invites you to celebrate love once again. This is a special day for newlyweds, those whose weddings were canceled or diminished, and people who want to recommit their love to their partners and the city we love.

Event Schedule for Participants:

  • 5:30 pm – Participants and their guests check in and pick up their (Re)Wedding kits. Please note that primary contacts should arrive together with their partner and guests.
  • 5:30 pm – (Re)Wedding Pre-party begins: take stunning selfies, adorn yourself with henna, and participate in other festivities
  • 6:15 pm – Participants line up for opening procession

About the Ceremony

The ceremony begins with you making your way down the aisle alongside hundreds of other couples and flower children. The sounds of the New York Philharmonic Brass and instrumentalists from Oratorio for Living Things fill the air as you take your seats.

Host Lea DeLaria starts us off with an introduction and congratulations. After words of inspiration from faith leaders Reverend Dr. Jacqui Lewis, Imam Khalid Latif, and Rabbi Matt Green and live musical performances by Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon, Paolo Montalban, Tamika Lawrence and the cast of Heather Christian’s Oratorio for Living Things, the ceremony concludes with a unity ritual.
