Presented in collaboration with The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts

One Saturday, Varun joins his grandfather (or Thatha in Tamil) and his sister Varsha at her Bharatanatyam lesson. Both kids learn that their Thatha was and is still an excellent dancer and dancing is something they can enjoy as a family. Join choreographer and dance educator Sahasra Sambamoorthi and her friends from her dance school and company Navatman as they explore the book, Dancing in Thatha's Footsteps, and the world of Bharatanatyam dance. There will be an opportunity to learn steps as well as listen to the story.

Lincoln Center celebrates summer in New York City as our free Storytime series returns—and this year due to popular demand, we have scheduled a second event every Wednesday! Curated by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, this Storytime event presents a children's book reading with live dance incorporated to keep kids of all ages enraptured and engaged!

Run time: approximately 45 minutes
