The series of Summer for the City concerts with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra culminates with a fitting and personal tribute to Louis Langrée as he conducts Mozart’s final three symphonies, a distillation of the composer’s astonishing genius that encapsulates the full range of human emotion. Famously composed in just two months as a unity, these revolutionary pieces conclude with Mozart’s celebrated “Jupiter” Symphony, which gives a true sense of celebration—a fitting finale for Langrée’s final year.
