Presented in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian and Jazz at Lincoln Center

Soar this summer at a one-hour, sound-based, contemplative experience joining live jazz performance by celebrated pianist Jason Yeager with guided meditation led by mindfulness expert and Shinnyo-en Buddhist priest Qalvy Grainzvolt. Inspired by a call and response modality, Shinnyo Jazz Meditation offers a multi-dimensional contemplative narrative as the music compliments the spoken element in supporting attendees to not only become present in the moment but to also cultivate inspiration and connection in multi-sensory fashion. Shinnyo is a Japanese word that denotes innate goodness and wisdom that exists within and can be brought to fruition in daily living. Previous meditation experience is not necessary.
