Experience Parallels, a responsive, machine-learning installation, featured on Josie Robertson Plaza on October 26 and 27, 2024. A large LED wall becomes a portal for visitors to be transported to another world with changing landscapes. As passersby move in front of the installation, a video camera mounted behind the LED wall captures its subjects and surrounding environment before reimagining a new visual world through the use of generative AI. The unmediated interaction explores the conversation between AI and those who encounter it—embracing the opportunity to co-create new realities.

Parallels was first commissioned through Onassis ONX for Plásmata II: Ioannina.

Koch Theater, and the Metropolitan Opera House facing onto the square. The landmark Revson Fountain at the center of the Plaza—a location for many famous movies including Moonstruck, Ghostbusters, and Black Swan—displays spectacular choreographed water shows daily that can shoot water spurts up to 40 feet high.
