Following last year’s opening night at Summer for the City, Lincoln Center celebrates the triumphant return of 10-time Grammy Award-winning composer, bandleader, pianist, and Spanish Harlem native, Eddie Palmieri. The enduring face of the Nuyorican community, Palmieri is a living legend of salsa music with a career that encompasses nearly fifty albums and more than half a century of live performance. Renowned for his innovative spirit and constantly evolving sound, the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award winner Palmieri and his 15-piece orchestra will perform a whirlwind set of sixty years of salsa hits. Arrive early for instruction from the renowned Talia Castro-Pozo, who will prepare you with the basic steps you'll need to keep up with the maestro!
