In collaboration with Lincoln Center Theater and Jazz at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center Theater will host an intimate salon-style evening of blues and jazz, curated by Wynton Marsalis as part of his tenure as Lincoln Center’s Visionary Artist. Inspired by themes from LCT's production of August Wilson's Seven Guitars, this free, one-night-only event celebrates musical storytelling at the intersection of blues and Broadway. Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Director of Seven Guitars, and Robert G. O'Meally, Zora Neale Hurston Professor of English and Comparative Literature and the Director of the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University will join to share their own insights on Augusts Wilson and the significance of music of his works.
